Primary Election Results From Tuesday

Two well known names in Minocqua town government will face off in April for town chairman. That result and others during Wisconsin's primary election Tuesday.

Incumbent Minocqua town chairman Mark Hartzheim and town board member Billy Fried were the top vote getters yesterday. Hartzheim had 313 votes to Fried's 123. Loren Susor was eliminated. Hartzheim and Fried will face off in April.

In Vilas county, Washington town chair Jim Spring will be challenged by Ken Anderson in April.

In the town of Lac du Flambeau supervisors race, Hoover, DeVerney, Mayer and Schwanebeck were the top four vote getters in order.

In Forest county,in the town of Wabeno chairman race, the top two vote getters were Paul Ehlinger and Lloyd Fulcer.

Contested school board races found Tracy Petrie, Billy Fried, Rad Watkins and Vernon Nevoraski as winners in at M-H-LT school board race. In the Lac du Flambeau school district, the top four were Zimmerman, Young, Mann and Stone. Tom Maulson was eliminated. In Crandon school district, Joseph Mayer was had the most votes, followed by Peggy Houle. Results from other results will be found out later.

While not all areas had primaries, in Vilas county the turnout was around 17 percent as reported by the clerk's office. All results are unofficial.
