Public Input Sought On Three Lakes Improvements

commons.wikimedia.org

The public is invited to a special meeting of the Three Lakes town board Tuesday afternoon to get input on the proposed town complex and other proposed initiatives.

The proposal offers new town offices and police department, with an option to include remodeling and expanding the Demmer Library and Historical Society and shared meeting space.

Demmer Library Director Erica Brewster says the discussions are at the point where public input is being sought...

".....since the April town annual meeting, the library and the town have been working together with Becher-Hoppe architectural firm. We're at the point now where we would like to solicit feedback from the community as the town considers financing options...."

Brewster says to date the Demmer Library Foundation has just under $1 million raised. She says anyone interested in more information should stop in the library. Also proposed are repairs to the Blue Ribbon Bridge, reconstruction on highway "X", and purchasing waterfront property for development of public access and facilities. The meeting Tuesday will be at 5 p.m. at the town offices.
