The public is invited to hear the latest on the progress of the work being done by Great Headwaters Trails at their 6th annual meeting on August 17th.
The hour-long meeting will begin at 5:30pm in Conover’s Community Park. President of the Great Headwaters Trails, Jeff Currie says this meeting will be different than others in the past.
“We have the trail on the ground.. That’s a new dimension plus we have major fundraising that’s been going on to finish the trail. The plan is to bid it out over the winter and go for a build as early as next summer. So we’ll be able to tell pretty much just the general health of the organization, we have more volunteers than ever, we have great people doing lots of great things.”
Currie says the meeting will also cover their upcoming SepTimber Ride fundraiser on September 10th. The ride is a fundraiser for GHT to build more trail.
