Registration Opens For School Of The Arts At Rhinelander

U-W Madison Continuing Studies

The 52nd School of the Arts at Rhinelander is taking registrations, and leaders are saying they have another full program this summer.

School of the Arts Director Lynn Tarnoff says the school will be back the third weekend in July. Last year they adopted a weekend format instead of a full week to see if more people were available to attend and this year the school will be held July 17-19. Tarnoff says there are 40 different classes and workshops to choose from....

?

".....in visual arts, culinary arts, mind-body-spirit, performing arts and writing. One thing that is interesting within the workshops themselves we have a bit of expanded musical opportunity...."

Tarnoff says in visual arts papermaking is popular, as is painting with beeswax. She says music and writing courses always are full. She says the public also will have an opportunity to shop in a marketplace where vendors share their artworks.

"....it will be open for each noon time and community folks as well as School of the Arts participants can come and look for that handcrafted item or signed book...."

Registration and enrollment is available through the website soawisconsin.org or Google School of the Arts at Rhinelander.
