The American Cancer Society is recruiting teams to participate in the annual Relay for Life United Up North this Saturday at Hodag Park in Rhinelander. Co-lead committee member, Angela Harris says the event will begin at 3pm with events going on throughout the day.
“We’re holding our event down at Hodag Park this Saturday July 16th. We’re going to start at 3pm with an opening ceremony at 3:30. We’ll have activities throughout the day, the biggest one being the grand ceremony and survivor recognition starting at 6pm.”
Harris says there will also be music, food provided by Bucketheads, and games for kids.
She says they hope to raise $35,000 for the American Cancer Society through this event. There are currently 12 teams registered, but teams can also sign up on the day of the event.
