The WXPR Board of Directors deeply mourns the passing of one of its members, Tuckey Requa. She served the station in many capacities, reflecting her impressive range of gifts and her enthusiasm for everything WXPR.
As a long-serving board member, Tuckey contributed her sharp, inquisitive, detail-oriented mind in the role of board secretary and then vice-president, as well as a member of the governance committee. As an on-air host, Tuckey was part of the famous father/daughter duo of Charley and TuckeyRequa’s Wednesday Afternoon Your Favorites show. Airing for more than a decade, the show grew more popular with each year and developed into a leading fundraiser during the WXPR pledge drives.
Tuckey’s dedication and love for the station and her expertise as one of our experienced board members will be sorely missed. Her quick wit and winning smile will be our greatest loss.
