Members of Rhinelander Fire Department Local-1028 will again be asking motorists to "Fill The Boot".
The annual "Fill The Boot" campaign is set for Thursday through Saturday says Muscular Dystrophy Association spokesperson Heather Buchberger..
"....they are going to be at the corner of Stevens and Dwight Streets, and what they're going to be doing is filling their boots for MDA. All the proceeds stay local in the Northwoods area...."
Buchberger says the money donated will help people in need in this area...
".....helps families in the Rhinelander area with state-of-the-art support groups and clinic visits, all free of cost. MDA Summer Camp for kids 7-17 to experience a barrier-free week of fun in Green Lake, Wisconsin and ground-breaking research as we want to experience a cure for muscular dystrophy....."
The event is held each year the same time as the Hodag Country Fest near the main intersection to drive to the event.
