Rhinelander Intersection Change Needs Public Input

en.wikipedia.org

A change will need to take place in the plans for one of the main intersections under construction in downtown Rhinelander as part of the "Streetscape" project.

Your input is requested to reconfigure the current plans, but you have to act soon. City Administrator Kristina Aschenbrenner says the plans for the Brown and Davenport Street intersection need to be changed....

"....the decorative concrete we originally planned on placing in that intersection is not an option due to the level of clearance and the proper installation in order to have the decorative concrete. Decorative concrete for that intersection is not an option, so we are looking at four other options...."

The city is redoing most of the underground infrastructure downtown this year, with an eye toward completing the above-ground decorating next year. The intersection options are listed on the rhinelandercityhall.org website.

Aschenbrenner says the public can vote for their favorite alternative by going to Survey Monkey or clicking a link to vote.

Aschenbrenner says the city council is likely to act on the change order at next Monday's city council meeting.
