The Rhinelander Women's Club is again accepting letters from local organizations to help fund those organization's activities. Cindy Goll is club president.

She says last year the club supported more than 30 organizations and projects and have opened up the application process again...

"..this is our message now...every year we ask the community groups to tell us what they are doing and how they may need financial help. There's no application form. We would like a representative of the organization to write a letter outlining the project and how they would be using the requested funds...."

The club was founded locally in 1898 and is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. it has 80 members. She details where the club has helped out in recent years...

"....We are found all over the Rhinelander community, working at the Food Pantry, ringing Salvation Army bells, baking for Harvest Hoedown, serving at The Table, reading at daycares and making blankets for Operation Smile. But we have a donation outreach that is giving funds toward scholarships, the homeless shelter, Lily's House, YMCA, Humane Society, ArtStart. Last year we supported more than 30 organizations and projects in this community....."

Cindy Goll says proposed projects need to take place from this October to September of 2019, with funding available this fall. Applications should be sent to GFWC-Rhinelander Women's Club, Post Office Box 272, Rhinelander, Wi. 54501.

Last year's grants ranged from $100 to $5,000.
