Rhinelander's "Roots Celebration" Set For May 12

May is National Historic Preservation Month, and Rhinelander City Hall will be showcasing the city's historic past. You can also contribute some pictures if you hurry.

Rhinelander "Roots Celebration"  is set for Thursday, May 12 from 1-7 p.m.

Kathy Cutforth is on the city's Historic Preservation Commission and details the free event...

"....we're turning city hall into a little historical museum of images of Rhinelander. And we're inviting long time Rhinelander family businesses to have displays there as well. At the reception we're going to have music and food...."

The reception will be held at 5:00 p.m.Rhinelander city hall's council chambers have many photos from the city's colorful past, including a full-size mural. Cutforth says Rhinelander has a very colorful past. They're also holding a photo contest says Cutforth...
