Forest County Sheriff's Dept.

One of the defendants in the arrests last fall of three persons for misconduct in public office, theft and other charges has entered a not guilty plea.

Pitts, his wife Jeanie, a former county corrections officer and another corrections officer, Melvin Donek from Argonne were charged by  authorities last October. The investigation continued into Oconto  and Brown counties.

Judge Leon Stenz entered a not guilty plea on Richard Pitts behalf. Pitts will be back in court in June for a pre-trial hearing.
