ROCA Gets Money To Fix Key Building

Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport

Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport is getting almost $600,000 do fix a building at the facility on Rhinelander's west side.

The DOT announced the grant to renovate the snow removal equipment building, bringing it up to code and replacing needed equipment and building materials due to age and corrosion. The building was originally built in 1978 and expanded in 1988. The project is scheduled to be done this fall.

The state, the city of Rhinelander Oneida county each contributed more than $14,000 to the construction. Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport is one of 97 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan.
