The YMCA of the Northwoods has removed the "interim" label from its current CEO.
The Board unanimously approved Laurie Schlitt as permanent CEO.
Schlitt accepted a two-year interim contract in April, 2013.
She says she hopes to stay the course of being fiscally responsible and spending their money wisely...
"....focusing on being a good steward on the membership dollars, the donor dollars, My focus will remain on establishing an endowment fund and concentrating on collaborations........with the understanding of our history and our foundation and those that have spent their talent time and treasure building this wonderful YMCA of the Northwoods..."
YMCA of the Northwoods Board President Wendy Henrichs says the decision to name Schlitt as permanent CEO was unanimous. Henrichs says Schlitt has succeeded in hiring, managing and motivating the organization.
