School Of The Arts Registration Materials Available

UW-Madison Continuing Studies

Catalogs are now available for 2nd annual School of the Arts at Rhinelander, coming to James Williams Middle School this July. Financial Aid is also available.

Director Lynn Tarnoff says the printed version is available at various locations...

"...specifically in Rhinelander, the library has a big stack of catalogs, as well as at the Chamber of Commerce and UW-Extension Oneida County. In outlying areas we expect them to be in libraries in the next couple of weeks...."

Lynn Tarnoff says they have two forms of financial aid this year. One for people specifically in the Rhinelander area where applications can be made through the Northern Arts Council with applications at the Rhinelander District Library. Other forms of financial aid can be found online.Awards of 50 percent of qualifying registration fees may be awarded as credit toward total fees for those that qualify.

In the summer of 1964, about 50 students joined 6 writing instructors in northern Wisconsin for the first School of the Arts at Rhinelander. Since then school has grown to include hundreds of student and staff participants and workshops available during the program. This year the format is over a weekend, beginning on July 17. More information is available by browsing  School of the Arts at Rhinelander on your computer.
