The Summit Players Theater hosting two free sessions Sunday of "Shakespeare in the State Park", but in this case it's the state forest.

The players tour Wisconsin's parks putting on  performances geared toward audience interaction. While most of the performances have been  happening in state parks, this one will be in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest says Forest spokesperson Melissa Baker....

"...they will be coming to do a workshop at 2 p.m. for kids and a shortened version of a Midsummers Night Dream for free at 3:30 p.m....."

The show is a stripped down, six actor production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Baker says the Summit Players Theater reached out to the DNR to bring the productions to the state's outdoor facilities. Baker says if it rains, a tent will be erected.

The performances will be at the Clear Lake picnic area off Highway J east of Woodruff. Baker says signs will be up to direct people to the Clear Lake Campground..More information is available at the Clear Lake Ranger Station at 715-356-3668.
