Soup For Shelter Homeless Fundraiser November 14

NATH

A fundraising event organized to raise money for the homeless shelter in Rhinelander is set for next week.

The 6th annual "Soup For Shelter" provides the public a chance to enjoy soup and bread from Northwoods restaurants, but it also is a key fundraiser to maintain Frederick Place says Executive Director Tammy Modic...

"....it's a free will offering where we will have close to 10 different businesses that are donating some delicious soups. People can try as many as they like for that free will offering...."

There will also be raffles. She says as the public acknowledges Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week, they can learn more about the local shelter...

"....this is our way to kick off that week and to kick off the holiday giving season. We hope people will come, learn a little bit more about NATH and Frederick Place, get some updates and enjoy that delicious food...."

Northwoods Alliance For Temporary Housing sponsors Frederick Place. The shelter serves residents in Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Lincoln and Langlade counties. Soup for Shelter is set for Saturday, November 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Mary's location of Nativity of our Lord gym on King Street. For more information call Frederick Place (715) 369- 9777.
