Time Drawing Short To Vote Absentee

openclipart.org

Next Tuesday is Wisconsin's spring election. If you can't vote in person, there's still time to vote absentee.

Vilas County Clerk Dave Alleman says the deadline is approaching to vote absentee. He says the last day to have a ballot mailed to you is Thursday, April 2. Alleman says  in person absentee balloting is currently on-going in all the towns and in the city of Eagle River and the city of Rhinelander.

Should you choose to vote absentee in person, the deadline to vote in the clerk's office where you live is 5:00 p.m. on April 3.

Alleman says as long as the absentee mail ballots are postmarked as late as election day April 7 they can be  tabulated as late as 5:00 p.m. on April 10. Any ballot with a postmark after April 7 is disallowed. Alleman says check with your local clerk to find out when the clerk is holding office hours so you can vote in person.
