A Tripoli area man has been bound over for trial on attempted homicide charges.

Oneida County Circuit Court Judge Michael Bloom found there was enough evidence to continue charges against 60 year old Kenneth Welsh of Clifford Road in Tripoli.

The Marathon-Oneida County Bomb Squad was called April 19 to Welsh's residence northwest of Tomahawk, along with several other law enforcement units. Welsh was injured in an alleged domestic incident, and allegedly fired a shot at a person fleeing his residence but missed. No charges were brought against the other person in the residence.

Welsh is also facing a felony charge of first-degree reckless injury and two misdemeanors. He's not to drink alcohol or have contact with the other person. He's being held in Oneida county on $100,000 cash bond.

A date to enter a plea to the charges was set for May 16.
