Two Arrests in Online Child Enticement Investigation

Two men have been arrested in Rhinelander on charges related to online child enticement.

38-year-old Paul Loucks of Weston and 37-year-old Ted Wasson of Rhinelander were arrested last Thursday and Friday as part of Operation Aegis, a statewide investigation led by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

It targeted online predators who solicit children to engage in sexually explicit content.

Undercover operations used Craiglist to communicate with the suspected predators.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and the Rhinelander Police Department participated in the investigation.

There were 24 total arrests made, including the two in Oneida County.

Loucks and Wasson were scheduled to appear in court Monday.
