One Green Bay man was rescued from icy waters in Minocqua and a second Green Bay man was rescued from a nearby island Thursday.

Minocqua Police report getting calls of a man in the water shortly before 3 p.m. at Buckskin Lake, about 100 feet west of Eagle Island.

The man in the water was identified as 60 year old Mark Harrison. A second man, 62 year old Roger Deguelle was stranded on Eagle Island because of changing ice conditions. Emergency crews responded with an airboat, getting Harrison out of the water and Deguelle off Eagle Island.

Harrison was taken to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff where his condition is unknown.

Minocqua Police say ice conditions on Buckskin Lake have been compromised and are not safe for ice fishing or even walking around.

12 police, government or emergency units were at the rescue scene.
