Of all the colleges and universities in the nation offering some online degree programs, UW-Superior has ranked ninth in a U.S. News ranking for colleges offering bachelor's programs online.

UW-Superior has been offering distance learning for 35 years. A local university representative , Dan Kuzlik, says the ranking is a bit of a small school versus large schools....

?

"....some of the other schools I saw in the top 20 were the University of Illinois, Arizona State University, University of Nebraska, really big schools . Superior is the smallest of the 13 campuses in the UW system. So to get this ranking, we really feel good about it...."

About 20 percent of UW-Superior students are seeking online degrees. More than 75 percent of the online students are women and most are between the ages of 25 and 49. Four out of five online students are also working.

He says they have six complete programs all obtained online, with one Master's program in Sustainable Management.
