The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain will be hosting a wellness event that focuses on natural recovery and health maintenance. Called Walking the Recovery Road, the event will focus on the wellness of the mind, body and spirit, and will be geared towards naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, mindfulness, meditation and personal spirituality. “…our special speakers are going to be including Dr. Niebrzydowski and Margie Conley of Radio Natural Health Clinic. Dr. Niebrzydowski is a naturopathic doctor and both are licensed acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists.”
Nelson says the event will also feature veterans sharing their stories of healing as they walk the recovery road.
The event is Thursday, May 19 at the VA Medical Center from 10 to 1 pm and is open to the public free of charge.
