UPDATE 1/12/2016: The name of the person who died in a structure fire early Saturday in Phelps has been released. The Vilas County Sheriff's Department says the name of the victim is 44 year old Paul J. Myszka III. Fire departments were dispatched around 3 a.m. to 1905 State Highway 17. Fire personnel and deputies found Myszka's body in the structure.

One person has died in a structure fire in Phelps early Saturday.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department reports the fire call came in just after 3:00 a.m. for a fire at 1905 state Highway 17 in Phelps.
The Phelps fire department responded with the assistance of the sheriff's department. One person was found dead inside the residence. The name of the victim is not being released at this time. Besides Phelps firefighters, Conover, Land O' Lakes, Eagle River departments responded as did other agencies.
