Two persons were rescued unharmed from Rice Lake in Vilas county midday today.(Friday).
The Sheriff's Department report they received a 9-1-1 call when the caller heard people screaming on the town of Cloverland lake.
Deputies found a boat had capsized with two people in the water. Deputies paddled out to the area with two row boats and a kayak. An off-duty Eagle River police officer assisted in a canoe and gave the swimmers lifejackets. The boaters were brought to shore and checked by medical personnel and were released.
No reason was given for the boat to have capsized.
