Walker Passes Condolences To Tomlanovich Family

Governor Scott Walker has extended his sympathies to the family of Frank Tomlanovich, the Vilas County Sheriff who died Thursday after a short illness.

While in Tomahawk Friday afternoon to sign bills concerning ATV's Walker said he was shocked when he heard the news..

"...the sheriff, in office since 2010, relatively young, just 61 I believe, first and foremost Tonette and I send out our thoughts and prayers not just to his family, but to the whole county and the larger region. It was a shock for a lot of people, it was a shock for me when I found out about it the other day..."

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 24 at 6 p.m. at the Northland Pines high school. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. prior to the service. The Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River has arrangements.
