A free Rhinelander-based clothing pantry for people needing winter clothing begins its first distribution this Saturday.

One of the coordinators is Jan Leschke who talks about the types of items that are distributed...

"....everything that basically touches your body, everything from socks and underwear to sweaters and sweatshirts and jackets, coats, hats and mittens, scarves and footwear. Anything you need to keep warm this winter, we've got it...."

The distribution is held at Friendly Village at 900 Boyce Drive from 10 a.m. to noon. Jan Leschke says all you need to do is come....

"..everyone is welcome, there are no questions asked. No paperwork to fill out. Everything is free, just bring a bag for your items...."

She says all sizes are available and some items are new. Jan Leschke says if you have questions you can call her at 715-362-7157.

Warm for Winter is held the last Saturday of the month through the end of February.
