Warm For Winter Keeps The Northwoods In Warm Duds

en.wikipedia.org

Saturday is the next "Warm For Winter" distribution for people without warm winter clothing.

One of the coordinators is Jan Leschke of Rhinelander. She says no questions are asked, and anyone can come in to get the donated winter clothes they need...

"....Warm for Winter is a free clothing pantry held the last Saturday of every month from 10 to noon at 900 Boyce Drive(Rhinelander), also the second Tuesday of each month from 6-8 p.m. at the same location...."

Jan Leschke says they have clothes in all sizes for the whole family, bedding, toys and more. She says they get donations from as far away as Milwaukee and also local donors. She says they have used items in good condition but some items are new.

Leschke they have goods for the whole family...

".....we have clothes for the whole family, all sizes. and bedding, and toys for the kids and everything is absolutely free. There's no questions asked and no paperwork is needed...just come...."

She says the pantry serves more than 1,000 people every season. Leschke says they added the once-a-month Tuesday evening pantry as many people couldn't make the Saturday distribution.
