Weston Man Allegedly Caught In Sex Sting Bound Over For Trial

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

A Weston man has been bound over in Oneida county as part of a large police sting operation concerning on-line sex solicitation of minors.

Dubbed "Operation Aegis", police arrested 24 men earlier this month around Wisconsin, with two arrests in Rhinelander. 38 year old Paul Loucks was  charged with alleged Child Enticement and Use of A Computer to Facilitate a sex crime. Also arrested in Rhinelander was 37 year old Ted J. Wasson of Rhinelander.

In Oneida County Circuit Court, Loucks Friday waived his right to a preliminary hearing. Judge Michael Bloom found enough evidence to continue the case and  bound Loucks over for trial...

"....Mr. Loucks has made a knowing and voluntary decision to waive his right to a preliminary hearing. I previously reviewed the complaint in this matter. There is sufficient informtion alleged in the complaint to constitute probable cause that a felony was committed in Oneida county and I will bind him over for further proceedings...."

Loucks will next be in court November 17 to enter a plea. Wasson will also be in court the same day to enter a plea.
