Updating an earlier story about wolf de-listing in the U.S. House: it was reported the de-listing bill had passed the House as part of a spending bill.
Congressional and other sources report wolf de-listing was not a part of the spending bill.
But a report in the Duluth News Tribune indicated the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will again try to get wolves de-listed in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. The News Tribune indicated recent efforts to put it in spending bills and as a stand alone bills have not been successful.
We regret any confusion in an earlier story.
