Family Files Oneida County Case To U.S. Supreme Court

The family hoping to build the Eagle Cove Camp and Conference Center on Squash Lake west of Rhinelander has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to consider the case. The Jaros family asked Oneida county and the town of Woodboro in 2004 to construct a religious based facility on family property. The request was rejected at the town, county and Board of Adjustment level. Appeals were rejected in U.S. District Court in Madison and most recently  by the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Chicago. In each U.S.

Bible Camp Rehearing Request Denied By Court

The 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Chicago has denied a rehearing on a decision against a family hoping to build a bible camp and conference center on Squash Lake.

The Jaros Family has tried for nearly a decade to build the facility on family owned land in the town of Woodboro, Oneida county. Oneida county and the town of Woodboro, along with the Oneida County Board of Adjustment have all denied needed permits.

Family Returns Religious Appeal to Oneida County

The appeals continue for a family hoping to build a religious camp and meeting facility on Squash Lake west of Rhinelander.

The Jaros family has been denied by  federal courts in their attempts to get the needed permits from Oneida county to build the Eagle Cove Camp and Conference Center. Most recently, the federal 7th Circuit Courrt of Appeals in Chicago denied a petition by the family to overturn a federal judge's decision from Wisconsin, also denying the needed permits. The family had been denied at the county level and took the matter to U.S. District Court in Madison.
