A top legislative Democrat is drawing attention to the state agency charged with creating jobs, saying the most recent audit of Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation showed serious concerns.

The Governor's Northern Wisconsin Economic Development Summit began Wednesday in Minocqua and the head of the a key agency says finding enough workers has become a problem.

The state Senate Committee on Economic Development and Commerce is holding a meeting this afternoon at Nicolet College to hear about economic development.

This is the second in a series of roundtables held by the committee around the state. The committee is chaired by Republican Richard Gudex of Fond du Lac.
