WXPR’s new downtown Rhinelander studios become the perfect venue for intimate concerts and in-depth conversations with musical ensembles, authors, poets, dynamic artists of many varieties. The common attribute is auditory creativity, an engaging and treasured commodity to the WXPR public radio audience.

The artists featured in this new series will complement WXPR’s rich array of programming – Midday Classics, Your Favorites, Northwoods Café, Blues Friday, Polka, Bluegrass Saturday, Country Legends, Sunday Jazz and Classics By Request.

It is our pleasure to unite the WXPR listening community around live performances and personal opportunities to enjoy spoken and musical arts.  Arts, Intellect, Public Radio – together in the perfect studio performance setting creating live events, on-air broadcasts, and recorded media for web and future applications.

Tune in to WXPR's Northwoods Café Tuesday, August 4th, at 7 pm for a live broadcast performance with recording artist Sharon Iltis. Celebrating the release of her third CD, tune into to hear original compositions and popular selections in a warm soulful style. Sharon Iltis is from Bozeman Montana, but has lived many years in Northern Wisconsin.

The Under the Willow White Pine Concert has been CANCELED for this evening. Unfortunately the band had to cancel their Northwoods tour. Our apologies. Please tune in this evening for three hours of great music with Jeremy Starz on Northwoods Cafe! 

WXPR’s Annual Fall Concert and Auction will be held Sunday, November 9th atHoliday Acres Resort in Rhinelander.

Items from area merchants and galleries will be on display starting at 2:00 pm. At 3:00 pm the live auction and music with Mike Mangione begins.
