Alzheimer's Association To Recognize Caregivers

simple.wikipedia.org

The Alzheimer’s Association invites nominations recognizing people or groups  involved in helping families who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer's Association spokesperson Diana Butz says the awards are designed to note those people who spend their lives helping others...

"....each year the Greater Wisconsin Chapter honors caregivers. We understand that caregiving is a tough, tough task for many people....."

Butz says  recognition  provides a way to honor people in a very tough situation...

"....there are about 15 million caregivers in the United States. Locally, we recognize those people who embrace the mission of the Alzheimer's Association and are really dedicated to those for whom they care..."

To be eligible, the person has to be a family caregiver, health care professional, a physician, part of an organization, media members, legislators or anyone else who is active in the mission of the Alzheimer's Association.

She says to nominate someone or for more information , go to  alzwi.org

The awards will be given in May at their state conference.
