Anderson Running For U.S. Senate

Phillip Anderson For U.S. Senate

He's running for the U.S. Senate from Wisconsin and his last name isn't Johnson or Feingold.

Phillip Anderson is the Libertarian Party's candidate. Anderson is a business owner from Fitchburg near Madison. Anderson says the other Senate candidates have become part of machine politics in Washington, D.C.

He follows the Libertarian philosophy of preventing war by bringing troops home. He says the need for the troops isn't about defense...

".....do everything I can to bring our troops home and stop meddling overseas. Stop regime change, drone strikes, killing innocent people, sending our men and women into harms way, all for the purpose not of defense, as Constitutionally authorized, but for the purpose of expanding our oil market and the demand for the U.S. dollar...."

Anderson says the way the we are taxed is hurting the economy....

"....if we pay taxes at all, I think we should minimize that as much as possible it should be tied to something else other than interfering with our ability to earn money and spend it as we choose and a drag on employers and corporations to employ people but to invest in new technology...."

Anderson says we should expand free markets, keep police from abusing citizen's rights, says legal immigration should be encouraged and illegal immigration should be stopped, and repeal laws creating crimes where there are no victims.

Anderson says Feingold and Johnson are not independent because they are tied to their political parties which have become all about raising money.

The Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the U.S.
