Create, Curate, and Collaborate are the three themes of the 3rd Annual Hodag Tech Fest at James Williams Middle School in Rhinelander this week.

Tech Fest is a professional learning opportunity designed by teachers, for teachers to learn how to make use of technology in their classrooms. This year, 70 teachers signed up to participate in 40 sessions focusing on the three themes. Rhinelander School District Instructional Technology Coordinator, Heidi Catlin says Tech Fest provides an opportunity for teachers to learn during the summer and plan for the upcoming school year

“Well we want teachers to learn about the new tools they can use in their classrooms for students to create, we also want them to look at the thousands of resources that are available for teachers that are available for themselves as professionals and also for their classroom. And then also to encourage collaboration, not just among professionals, but also to encourage our students to collaborate with each other."

Teachers and paraprofessionals from the area are invited to attend the annual Tech Fest each summer.
