Arts Day To Reveal New State Arts Plan

Arts Wisconsin

The Executive Director of a leading arts group in Wisconsin says this year's Arts Day event will showcase Wisconsin's arts community, but also point toward how the arts are investments in the state.

Arts, business, education, government, political, and civic leaders and supporters are invited to Arts Day 2018 on Wednesday, March 21 at the Overture Center for the Arts Madison.

Anne Katz of Arts Wisconsin talked with WXPR's Ken Krall about Arts Day and while a day of fun, it also is a day to think about the future of the arts in Wisconsin...

On Arts Day, leaders from across the state will call for the establishment of Wisconsin Creates, a public/private partnership to invest in Wisconsin’s creative economy at the local and regional level.

The Northwoods has seen a number of Arts facilities spring into being, including ArtStart in Rhinelander, The Campanile Center in Minocqua, The Warehouse in Eagle River, LOLA in Land O' Lakes, Wabeno area efforts and more.
