The Big Bundle Up Nears End

Wisconsin Dept. of Tourism

State Department of Tourism officials have again called the "Big Bundle Up" campaign  a  success. The campaign gathers warm winter clothing at spots across Wisconsin. This is the fourth year of the collection statewide.

The collection point in Rhinelander is the Chamber of Commerce. They will be ending their collection on Friday.

At the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce, Visitor Center Coordinator Lauren Strand says they've had a good response...

"....our bin is full. We even have a bag sitting off to the side that has more stuff in it. We have lots of hand-made mittens donated. There's some new boots and coats and all sorts of different things in there...."

Warm For Winter distributes the items the last Saturday of each month at Friendly Village on Boyce Drive in Rhinelander.

Over  the last three years,  more than 32,000 warm winter items have been gathered.
