Bond Set For Man Involved In Alleged Gun Incident

Bond has been set at $100,000 cash for a Tripoli area man after an alleged domestic altercation.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department reports 60 year old Kenneth S. Welsh from the town of Lynne was arrested after authorities say gunshots were fired Tuesday morning. They report as the approached the Welsh home, Welsh allegedly aimed his gun at deputies, who apprehended Welsh using bean bag weapons. Welsh had threatened to blow up the residence and propane was detected in the home.

Welsh was charged with 1st degree attempted homicide after he allegedly fired a weapon at a woman who was leaving in a vehicle.

Oneida County Judge Michael Bloom set the $100,000 bond and scheduled the next court appearance April 25.
