openclipart.org

Northwoods business leaders are invited to a meeting in Rhinelander to talk about cutting through  government red tape.

The Governor's Northern Summit is set for Minocqua on December 4 and 5. All the cabinet secretaries and staff, along with Governor Walker will be on hand to talk about what they are working on to spur economic development.

Two days prior to that event, a meeting is set at the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Dana DeMet...

".....we're going to be hosting Nancy Mistele from the Office of Business Devleopment for the state of Wisconsin. She's going to be hosting an informational session on different regulator burdens in the state on businesses. What her office can do in helping businesses either deal with those regulations or help get some of them changed or eliminated...."

DeMet says this is an opportunity for businesses to give input on reducing the regulatory burden imposed by government.

The meeting is December 2 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rhinelander Chamber office.

The deadline to register for the summit is Friday,  November 21. DeMet says contact the Chamber of Commerce by phone or go to their website to register. He says they need ten registrants to hold the session.
