For the 29th year, the Rhinelander Lions Club will be hosting the "Christmas Not Alone" dinner.
Event co-chair Harry Helwig says the idea is to provide a hearty meal and companionship for those who don't have friends and family to be with on Christmas...

"...and the Rhinelander Lions, along with volunteers from the community, our Lioness from different areas, Leo club, we'll be preparing and serving a turkey dinner with all the trimmings on Christmas Day at the National Guard Armory in Rhinelander from 11:30 in the morning until 1:30 in the afternoon..."

Helwig anticipates about 350 meals will be served.

Helwig  was asked who can attend the meal...

".....Anyone! Especially people that are shut ins, or have mobility(issues)they can call Rapid Cab for free they will bring them over to the Armory to have a meal there...."

Helwig says volunteer drivers will also deliver meals to people at their homes.

Helwig says to call the National Guard Armory at  715-490-0048  Christmas morning to have the meals delivered.

He says they are also looking for people to be volunteer drivers or help with the meal prep at the Armory.

He says money Donations are always welcome. More information is available or to volunteer at 715 362 6534
