Temporary job listings have been posted by the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
Spokesperson Hilary Markin says the jobs often attract young people looking for a career or folks who have some time to give...
"....every year the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and other area forests hire temporary students to work in fisheries, on our trails and even archeology and fire suppression. Those are some of the specialty areas that we hire...."
Markin says teachers have also taken the positions over the summer. Markin mentioned she started her career as a temporary worker in this manner.
The deadline to apply for the temporary full-time positions is February 4. Approximately 355 jobs will be advertised this hiring season across the Eastern Region.
More information on the positions can be found through the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest website. We have a link here.
