The City of Rhinelander is looking for two department heads so they've hired a consulting firm to help them with one search, and possibly both openings. T
he city has openings for a City Administrator and Police Chief.
Finance Committee chair Mark Pelletier says the agreement to hire a personnel consulting firm had cleared committee, but not the full council...
"....we wanted to get going for the search for administrator and we hired the same firm as last time. We needed the council to approve the money. They were actually prepared so I think literally today they will begin the search process...."
Pelletier says the Rhinelander Police and Fire Commission is also in the process of hiring a new Chief of Police and has candidates, but if they don't like the applicants, they have the money approved by the council to hire a consulting firm to help find the next chief.
The city hired Public Administration Associates to do the City Administrator search.
