Duffy, Westlund Win Primaries For 7th Congressional Seat

The two front-runners for the 7th Congressional seat....incumbent Republican Sean Duffy and Democrat challenger Kelly Westlund easily won their party's nominations. Duffy got nearly 9 out every 10 Republican votes. Westlund picked up four out of every five Democrat votes.

There were no state Assembly primaries in the Northwoods as all three Republican incumbents have no opposition this fall.

This was also a time for county clerks of court and sheriff's to be up for election. There were no primaries in much of the Northwoods with one exception. Two Republicans in Langlade county were running to challenge incumbent Democrat William Greening for Sheriff.

With all the votes tallied, Joe Stegall defeated Sam Wurtinger. Stegall will face Greening this November for Langlade County Sheriff.Krall reporting.
