Elcho Schools Hire Firm To Analyze School Buildings

en.wikipedia.org

The Elcho School Board has hired an Eau Claire firm to take a look at some of the district's aging facilities.

Superintendent William Fisher says the idea is to take stock of the condition of the school buildings...

?

"....we have an aging elementary building the(dates) to 1938 and we have some aging boilers. So we decided to move forward and hire the architectural firm of SDS out of Eau Claire to come in and do a facility analysis...."

Fisher thinks it will take four to five months to complete the analysis for the Elcho schools. Fisher told the school board that the district will be debt free by 2017 and it might be timely to consider long term building needs.

Fisher is also Superintendent at White Lake schools. That district is holding a funding referendum on April 7. He says there's a community informational meeting on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria. The White Lake School Board is asking for non-recurring operating revenue of $300,000 per year for five years.
