Forward Rhinelander Making Community Stops

en.wikipedia.org

The group Forward Rhinelander is going out to meet the public as it continues to work toward growing Rhinelander in a positive way. The group formed 18 months ago with a mission to set a vision for the Rhinelander area over the next 20 years so that it stays a competitive, vibrant, and enjoyable place to live for all community members.

One of the co-organizers is Melinda Childs. She says they've held meetings with individuals and groups with a focus on positive assets within the city...

".....we're trying to coordinate a community group to support the city in forward motion for Rhinelander. We're looking at economic development, livability, arts and culture, recreation, housing. It's a very wide scope...."

Childs says they're going to be seen in the community soon...

“...we have some plans in the works to facilitate some discussions at the (Oneida County) Fair, at the Farmer’s Market, we’re hoping to schedule some dates at the (Rhinelander Area) Food Pantry, speaking to some of the civic groups like Kiwanis and Rotary....”

She says they want to do strategic and long term thinking to help Rhinelander. The group has been meeting monthly at ArtStart. More information is available at the website forwardrhinelander.org
