Knife, Firearm Killed Oneida County Couple; Teen Will Face Multiple Felony Charges

Investigators have determined the causes of death for two people found dead in Oneida County Sunday.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s office says 37-year-old Thomas Ayers died from firearm injuries, while his wife 40-year-old Jennifer Ayers died from knife wounds.

The suspect in the killings is Jennifer Ayer’s 17-year-old daughter.

The Rhinelander area teen will be charged in Oneida county with two counts of first degree intentional homicide and three counts of false imprisonment when she and another person return here from Indiana.

Ashlee Martinson is the suspect in the weekend slaying of her mother,  Jennifer Ayers and her step father, Thomas Ayers. An Oneida County Sheriff's Department report indicates children in the home were locked in a room after shots were heard. One of the children allegedly saw a fight between Martinson and her mother and saw Thomas Ayers dead. The county Special Response Team found the body of the Ayers' in the home.

A nationwide search for Martinson located her along with her friend 22 year old Ryan Sisco in Boone, County Indiana on the Interstate north of Indianapolis.  An extradition hearing is set for Tuesday to determine if the pair should return to Wisconsin to face charges.
