Latoya Wolf Set To Enter A Plea To Homicide Charge

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

A plea agreement has apparently been reached for a Tomahawk woman charged with party to 1st-degree intentional homicide in Oneida county.

33 year old Latoya Wolf is charged along with her ex-husband Shannon Wolf in the 2003 death of Kenneth Wells. Wells' body was found in the Wisconsin River and initially was ruled as a drowning. After Rhinelander Police reopened the investigation last year, homicide charges were filed against both persons.

In court Thursday, District Attorney Michael Schiek(sheek) told Judge Michael Bloom both sides had an agreement...

"...I think we do have an agreement...we are respectfully requesting the court to set this for a plea hearing in the next 2-3 weeks...."

In court documents, Latoya Wolf told authorities her ex-husband allegedly killed Wells under the Davenport Street bridge in downtown Rhinelander, then dumped his body in the Wisconsin River. Latoya Wolf will enter a plea on July 30.

Shannon Wolf had been sent to prison on another charge prior to the latest charge. He will next be in court September 1.
