Lets Go Fishing Needs Volunteers

en.wikipedia.org

It's National Volunteer Week and a non-profit group giving older adults and those with needs a chance for a day of fishing is looking for volunteer help during the soft water months.

Let's Go Fishing was founded in 2002 by Joe Holm in Minnesota. The chapters have grown there, but Rhinelander became the first place in Wisconsin with a chapter. Holm says with the growing older adult population, there is a large need to provide positive experiences...

"....what started out that first year with myself and others taking Fridays off to take some people out led to every single day of the week. Today we're at 2,300 volunteers and we've served over 140,000 people...."

Local chapter vice-president Mark Schroeder says they are in need of volunteers to help take the participants out on Boom Lake. He says to call locally 715-360-4079, or 715-269-5436. Lets Go Fishing also can be found on theweb.
