Long Talked About Mural in Boulder Junction Comes to Life Thanks to Local Artist

boulderjct.org

Boulder Junction’s main street is a little brighter thanks to a new mural showcasing the Northwoods.

The mural is being painted on the exterior wall of Badger Heating and Cooling.

The nearly 100 foot piece has been in the planning stages for several years and will be one of the largest public art pieces in town. The completed mural will feature four season activities and wildlife in Boulder Junction.

Muralist and owner ofCreative Wallternatives, Joan Christgau started the mural June 1, and I met up with her for a progress update.  Chamber Director Theresa Smith says the mural has been the talk of the town.

Anyone who would like to make a donation can visit the Chamber or the Foundation, download the mural donation form available at boulderjct.orgor send a tax deductible gift to the Boulder Junction Community Foundation.

For more information visit the chamber’s website, give them a call or stop by.
