Names Of Crash Victims Released

The names of three persons injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Eagle River have been released.

The Vilas County Sheriff's Department reports the crash happened about 5:45 p.m.on Highway 70 in front of Parson's Chevrolet. A pickup truck collided head on with a Volkswagen. The driver of the truck and a man riding in the Volkswagen were flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The Volkswagen driver was treated at Ministry-Eagle River Memorial Hospital.

The Sheriff's Department says the victims in this crash are 52 year old Jay Duening of Sugar Camp , who was driving the truck. The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta was 48 year old Jeralyn Lorenz of Eagle River. Her passenger was 44 year old Scott Steffens from Eagle River. The accident remains under investigation.
